Background

What has your character been doing since Voldemort's death?
The final battle affected Ginny strongly; she lost her brother, Fred. She was close with Fred and George. She was very similar to them, and often shared the joy the twins found in pulling pranks on people. When Fred died, she felt like a piece of her soul had gone with him. She was depressed for a year after the final battle.
She had to watch her friends fall to their deaths right in front of her. People she had laughed with, cried with, and had light night cramming sessions with. There were people who she had grown up with, a family away from her family. And she watched them be killed. She saw their eyes as they fell, sometimes blank, sometimes full of fear.
Right after the war, the thought of being a murder added to Ginny’s depression. She had always been raised learning that killing was wrong. And that one should never kill another human being. But no one had ever taught her that defending herself in a war was a good exception. Instead of accepting it, she was haunted by it. She didn’t sleep, she barely ever ate, and she was withering away.
And now, nine years after the war, the fight with Bellatrix still lies in her nightmares, which she seems to have at least once a week. Now she hides this fact from everyone around her. Hoping they never know how much the fight scared her.
With the help of a therapist that she had for five years after the war, Ginny is now a healthy witch in her middle twenties, and she is surviving. Even though the thoughts of murder and the looks in the eyes of her fallen friends still haunt her once in a while, and the weekly nightmares, she is as back to her old self as anyone could expect her to be.
In the nine years since the end of Deathly Hallows, Ginny did not marry (yet? May happen later?). She had tried dating Harry, but she did not feel that they could ever amount to anything more than friends. She felt like they had just felt the emotions they did because they were young children in the middle of the war. Ginny still cares for Harry, but it is more in a friendly fashion, rather than in a romantic way.
She had tried to date after Harry a few other previous classmates but they all reminded her of her time at Hogwarts. And when she dated them, she was trying to forget about the war.

She still keeps in touch with the boys she had dated, but her ending with Michael Corner, whom she dated in her third year, was a bitter one. They had a huge argument and parted ways, they never talked since that fight. If they saw each other on the street, they would look the other way and act like they didn't see anything.
She still goes on dates with wizards, but she has walked out on more than one date because the guys asked her out, hoping to learn more about the inside detail of the final battle. Ginny always hopes that she can find someone to marry and to have children with. That has always been something she looked forward to when she was young, being a wife and mother.
After she stopped visiting her therapist, Ginny started working with George at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes. She is more on the business management side of it. Making sure money is taken to Gringotts Wizarding Bank at the end of the night, and that there is money in the tills for change every morning. She also makes sure that the employees are all paid on time, and that their time sheets are correct, and handing out schedules for everyone’s work hours.
She is happy working with George at the shop, but she wishes she could travel to America. She always fancied the thought of going there with her father, and looking at all the muggle sights. She often thought of paying for a vacation for her and her parents to travel over there, but it has only remained an idea.
Since she was a young girl, Ginny always admired wizarding fashion. And with her father being a love of all things muggle, she had the chance to see many different types of muggle magazines. She loved looking at what type of clothes they wore. Through the years, she kept up with fashion and now it’s one of her life’s ambitions to have her own side business that mixes the styles of muggle and wizard. She wishes to make clothes for girls at Hogwarts because skirts are just too cold in the winter. It is just too cold for them to walk around in skirts. She has never told any one of this dream. She always thought they would laugh at it.
When Ginny isn’t working in the shop, she likes to walk in muggle London, looking at all the different shops and the different kinds of people. On one of her walks she came across an old used book shop that had books about wizards. She enjoys reading these books and laughing at muggle’s perception of her world.
Ginny also enjoys playing Quidditch with her brothers. Every time there is a family get-together she joins in a game with them. She once thought about going pro, but working with George sounded more appealing.

But from all the fighting in the battle, she had many wounds, the only scars that stuck with her was the five inch scar that is diagonal on the outside of her left thigh, and the two inch scar on the back of her neck.
The scar on her neck came from when she dodged an unknown hex from Bellatrix Lestrange. It brushed against the back of her neck, giving her that scar. When she fell, she fell on a random wand, and it shot off sparks up her thigh, which is what gave her the scar on her thigh.
Dress Style:
Coming from a large family, new clothes was not always available, so she learned to make due with the hand me downs and the second hand clothes that she was always given while growing up. So Ginny had to learn how to make the old clothes she had stylish.
She likes to wear both muggle clothes, and wizarding robes. What she wears depends on her mood, and what she has to do for the day. If she is going to work in the shop for the day, she’ll wear muggle clothes. But if she has to go to the Ministry of Magic, she will put on robes.
Things they would always carry with them:
Her wand, for one. She has a locket that her mother had given her when she started at Hogwarts. Molly said when the right time comes; the locket will open and hold something special. Ginny being curious, tried to open it, but the locket wouldn’t open. She hasn’t taken it off since that day, and it has never opened.
When Fred and George opened their store, Ginny gave Fred a ring that was too small, but he wore on his pinkie. When he died Ginny got the plain gold band back, and now wears it on the middle finger of her right hand. She always wears it.

Ginny likes to have fun and laugh with those around her. Ginny likes to have the attention on her, but she won’t do something reckless to get that attention. She knows who she is, and she doesn’t listen to how people say she should act.
Strengths: Hard worker, loyal to her friends. She looks for the good in most situations.
Weaknesses: Working at the shop, Ginny sometimes forget when it’s time to work, and when it’s time to have fun. She trusts easily.
Habits: Whenever she thinks of the battle, she touches the scar on the back of her neck. So far, Percy is the only one to know that she does that. Ginny is not ready for anyone else to find out about it. She’s very insecure about it.
